Accounting is OVER!

MY ACCOUNTING CLASS IS OVER!!!!

You have no idea how realized I am. Me and bebler decided it just doesn’t come naturally to me like it does for him. not fair 😦 Don’t get me wrong though, so far my grade is really good so depending the grade I get on the Final I took today, I could get an A 🙂

Oh ya forget to mention the final was this morning….at 9:15. I got up at 7 and literally got no sleep last night. Can you say zombie mode?

Well the good thing is I will officially be a lot less stressed so I can focus more on the bloggie!!

Today’s Workout:

Legs- 3 sets 15 reps

  • leg extensions
  • lying leg curls
  • calf raises
  • lunges
  • hip adductor
  • hip abductor
  • hip extensions

Random Eats:

guess who made for hummus!?! It’s kind of a problem how much I eat when I make it. Hence why I take breaks between when I run out and remake it lol

Anyhoo here is my random dinner from last night- quinoa, spinach, carrot sticks, huge dollop of hummus 🙂 perfect.

Well i figured since I asked you what your favorite bar was I could at least answer my own question lol

So what’s my favorite bar?

Well Since I’ve gone vegan I really haven’t tried many and especially the fact that I don’t like how much added sugar is in some of the bars out there I have generally stuck to larabars and I must say I love them! I still haven’t tried all the flavors yet either so I’m loving being a little taste tester 🙂

Not only are the ingredients lists short, natural, and gluten free, but they are delicious! The only other problem is that I don’t like coconut…I know, I’m weird. So now onto my fav flavors of LARABAR!!

Now onto today’s workout and random eats

Workout:

Shoulders- still on the same routine. I’m so excited it’s almost the end of the month so I can finally switch up my routine!

cardio- 30 min. elliptical

Eats:

I decided it was a socca kind of day so I crisped mine and jazzed it up with salt, garlic pepper, and flax seeds. Some flax fell in the pan and kept popping up and hitting me 😦

Then I smeared it with some black bean dip, a sprinkle of nutritional yeast, a couple leaves of spinach and called it a day. Perfect!

*Btw I’m not so into the radio or the “what’s hot right now” songs. I hate how over played they are commercialized but if I’m still liking it after it isn’t “hot” anymore, then I’ll buy it 🙂 *

What kind of music gets you pumped?

Hey guys!

So I know you are probably wondering what has happened with my fitness plan since I haven’t been talking about it. Don’t worry! All is well on the home front. I’ve been keeping up with the strength training and eating 5-6 meals a day.

I’m still really liking eating smaller meals often (mostly because I’m always bored and it gives me something to look forward too :)) but I have to say, I don’t like how full/bloated I’m feeling sometimes. I’m still trying to figure that one out.

The workouts are also going really well. I started logging my workouts on a calendar so I can keep track and make sure I don’t forget/slip up on my strength training. I really haven’t been doing any cardio at all though 😦 I’ve found that I’m really missing my cardio. It gives me so much energy and without the cardio I’m a lot more lethargic than I would like. But besides that minor downside I’m loving how strong I’m feeling and how I go to the gym “with purpose” now lol I know my exercises and what needs to get done and I do it! I feel like one of the guys 🙂 At the end of the month I’ll try and post my calendar for you or somehow tell you how my schedule played out.

Random eats:

cinnamon protein cake with mango

post workout protein! I had a ripe mango that I cut up the night before and instead of pulverizing it into a mango protein shake I decided to have cake! Can you blame me?

afternoon snack- cucumber, red onion, tomato, apple cider vinegar, raw agave, salt n’ peppa

(unseen- a massive lettuce leaf and a couple handfuls of raisins)

refreshing and yummy 🙂

and then there was dinner

Not going to lie, I have actually had this 2 or 3 days in a row. It’s gooooood. Plus I’m pretty much just obsessed with this sauce!

Cauliflower Rice with Pasta Sauce

1/3 head of cauliflower (probably even better steamed but I had it raw baby)

1/2 cup of Eden Organic Pizza/Pasta sauce

1 T nutritional yeast

1/4 tomato (chopped)

1/4 red pepper (chopped)

salt n’ peppa

I was trying to get my raw veggies in so I just warmed up the sauce and left the veggies uncooked. But I know this would prob be wayyyy better with some steamed cauliflower and sauteed tomato and red pepper with garlic. Oh gosh now I’m salivating…

And dessert?

You’ll just have to wait for my next post, but I’ll give you a hint- I’ve been doing some fun variations on my fav

Test 1=Over

The test is over!

I really am the worst person to be around when I’m stressed out. Poor Carson has to put up with me all by himself too…sorry babe!

But alas the grades are posted already and I didn’t do too bad! One less thing to worry about but I’m still giving a speech on Monday that I haven’t even written yet and I’m afraid of public speaking…yikes! Wish me luck on that one too lol

Friday’s workout:

I feel like I’m already noticing a difference in my muscle definition! Even though I was a bit hesitant about this whole “giving up” my cardio thing for strength training, I’m actually really loving how much stronger I already feel. I also haven’t given up cardio completely, I’m just doing it less strenuously and I feel like I have found a happy medium 🙂

Nothing new on the weight front either. I’m still struggling to maintain (I may have even dropped a little more) but hopefully by replenishing my food supply that’ll figure itself out lol

What else did I do yesterday?

I made REAL hummus 🙂 and it’s good

Garlic Hummus

1 can of garbanzo beans

4 cloves of garlic

1 tsp cumin

1 1/2 T liquid aminos

1/4 c tahini

2 T olive oil (I didn’t want to add too much oil so to make it thinner I added a little water)

handful of parsley

juice of half a lemon

salt n’ peppa

– then process your little heart out and smear that sucker on anything and everything

then later it was time to finally relax after studying so hard! Off to the club for a girl’s night!!!

And of course I woke up with a hankering for something cold and refreshing….too bad the roommates were asleep so I didn’t want to reek havoc and turn on the blender for banana soft serve. Unfortunately I’m considerate like that.

So instead I settled for a blueberry sludgy.

Not the most glamorous but I’m loving frozen blueberries right now.

In the mug=frozen bluerries, banana, and almond milk

I especially love how the blueberries freeze the almond milk at the bottom and make it into an icy sludge (hence the name)

Well I’m off to lounge around and maybe work on that speech. ta ta!

Motivation on my clothes

Motivation on workout clothes, awesome!

Friends help too though 🙂 Once again my friend Bria dragged me off my accounting studying butt and got me to do my cardio for the day.

Today’s workout:

Today was a rest day (thank goodness) so I stuck to 30 minutes walking on the treadmill. Half at 5 incline then I bumped it to 6 for the last 15 min. All was at 4.0 mph.

twas eazy peezy but I had just eaten and I also haven’t been doing much cardio lately so it still felt good.

I finished with some abs then called it a day.

Eats:

Since I messed up my schedule by skipping out on my workout earlier in the day, my eating was totally random today. It always happens to me that when I don’t workout I’m always more hungry. Does this happen to you? I’m blaming being bored for the munching monster in me.

Anyhooo, after class I decided to make a smoothie but since my sun warrior stash is dwindling quickly 😦 I made a random concotion with this

a papaya, blueberry, strawberry smoothie + half a cherry pie lara bar+ and a heaping spoonful of quinoa

I’m trying to use up the cherry pie lara bars because they’re too tart plain so I’ve been trying to find things to eat them with. The smoothie wasn’t bad and the bar actually tasted really good crumbled in it but the quinoa def shouldn’t have been invited to the party. Oh well, you win some you lose some. Besides that it was actually really good and a tastier way to eat those bars.

Dinner was also rando

then I drizzled a ton of brown spicy mustard on top of everything and cleared out my sinuses for the day. Phew that was a lot of peppa!

Have I mentioned how much I hate accounting? Well I do. Wish me luck for my first test tomorrow, it’s back to studying for me!

Chocolate Mascarpone Brownies

Hey guys!

Arms. are. killing. right. now………….hard. to. type. jk lol but I did have a pretty awesome chest workout today. I think it’s the combo of today’s workout on top of yesterday’s that’s making me really feel it.

Today’s workout:

warm-up was 10 min. on the treadmill at 10.0 incline/3.5 mph

chest + abs

Random eats:

I finally made the perfect wrap!!! I was so excited because everytime I go to a health food store for a wrap they always make it so perfect. Who knew making a wrap was difficult…not me but this one was finally pretty enough to photograph (and delicious too!)

Later in the night bebler requested a special dessert so off to club pub for me! I found a recipe for chocolate mascarpone brownies so I lazied it up and got these ingredients instead

oh ya baby. Apparently It tastes like chocolate lava cake 🙂
