So a little about me… I’m a college sophomore that eats a mostly raw vegan diet and loves to exercise and run. I love learning about how the body works and ways to stay healthy and I especially love baking!
Growing up I ate the way most Americans do (eating whatever was convenient and not thinking about nutrition) and slowing became less active as I grew up. However, it wasn’t until a tragedy changed my life and left me relying on food for comfort that I started to gain weight and have issues with my self confidence.
My lifestyle transformation didn’t occur until after my step dad read Kevin Trudeau’s Natural Cures when I was about 12. My mom and I came home to find him throwing out our entire kitchen cabinet saying that everything had chemicals in it and wasn’t healthy or good for our bodies. Of course my mother reacted by yelling at him and screaming that he was throwing away perfectly good money and food but looking back we realize it was an investment in our health. Our path to living healthy lifestyles started slowly and of course was challenging but we are all constantly learning and striving to live the best life we can.
Although I was eating healthier and exercising I still wasn’t confident in high school and struggled to lose weight. Ironically it wasn’t until my freshman year of college that I was able to lose the weight I wanted (trust me I shocked everyone with reversing the curse of the Freshman 15) and finally be truly happy with the way I looked.
People in my life:
I was super lucky to find my boyfriend Carson (aka giraffe/ bebler) only a month or two into my freshman year of college. Although he is by NO means a vegan I will slowly convert his diet in due time muhahaha, jk. We both support each other and I love baking for him so he’s a happy camper 🙂
My Big!!! Yes, I’m a sorority girl and I love my big sista sooo much! I was super lucky to find someone so similar to me and someone who truely understands and cares for me. I rely on her for everything and aspire to be as good of a person as she is.
